The 2019 Honda Pilot has a few updates!

The Honda Odyssey is a great vehicle for families and it offers a ton of flexibility. However, we know that not everyone wants a minivan. Thankfully, we have a very sizable three-row crossover — The Honda Pilot — and in our opinion it's one of the next best things to owning a minivan!

Below we'll go over what's new for the 2019 Honda Pilot, as it did get a few mid-cycle updates.

New for 2019

  • The Honda Sensing® package of advanced safety technologies is now standard across the entire lineup. Last year, it was only standard on the top two trims and available on the remaining, except for the base. Now all Pilot drivers can get added peace of mind.
  • Full LED lights are also standard across the lineup.
  • Honda has improved its infotainment system and made it easier to use and navigate. This is especially useful for drivers who don't want to or do not have an eligible smartphone to use the available Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ features.
  • The volume dial is back! This change has been a few years coming, and we're seeing it for many other new Honda models. Touchscreens are nice, but sometimes a dial is easier for the task at hand.
  • Some drivers found the older 9-speed transmission to be a little clunky, so Honda's engineers have given it an update so it has a smoother ride, like the 6-speed. The 3.5L V6 engine carries over.
  • There were also some light styling updates, but nothing major by any means.
